For this home video project, which was taped the first week in March of 2001, I designed and built the puppets, and performed some of the principal characters.
Above, the two main characters: at left, Oogy, a young boy alien; at right, Jenna, the human girl who helps him.
The purpose of these videos is to help teach young children about Jewish holidays and traditions. The premise is pretty wild: in outer space, there's a planet of aliens who are of Jewish heritage, but they've lost touch with their Jewish roots and no longer understand how to celebrate Passover or Chanukah, etc. So one of them travels to Earth and learns about Jewish holidays from a Jewish family of humans he encounters.
The many puppets required for this project had to be made incredibly quickly, and I had a great crew of people working with me, including Mike Schupbach, Carole Simms, Carol Binion, Lara MacLean, Erin Slattery, James Wojtal, and David Reagan.
