World-renowned soprano Renee Fleming was a guest star on SESAME STREET for Season 32, and was nice enough to pose with me for this picture. She sang an opera spoof about counting, surrounded by Muppet sheep and pigs and bananas (for the record, I was a pig first, then a sheep, but not a banana). She was fabulous -- so very friendly and genuine, and she had a great sense of humor about herself. Ms. Fleming brought her young daughters to the studio, and I think they all had a good time. Certainly the puppeteers enjoyed working with her. Like me, she is from the Rochester, NY area, and it turns out we have mutual acquaintances from the Eastman School of Music.
