2001, I did TV commercials for Carvel, manipulating a puppet version of
their famous Cookie Puss ice cream cake character. Honest to gosh. That's
me pictured at left with the puppets of Cookie Puss and Fudgie the Whale.
The puppets were made by Brooklyn Modelworks. Fudgie was puppeteered by
Robin Walsh.
They're cute spots. I was particularly impressed by the art direction - great miniature sets. The director was Gerald Casale, one of the founders of the band Devo. Really, I couldn't make that up! |
