I designed and made the puppets used for all of the various stages of AVENUE Q's development, from early readings and workshops, to the off-Broadway and Broadway productions. Posted here are candid backstage photos of some of the Broadway puppets.

At left are Act Two Princeton and Act One Kate Monster. Princeton is fresh out of college, and looking to make his way in the big city. Kate is Princeton's principal romantic interest. She's warm, intelligent, teaches pre-school, and is a little bit self-conscious about being a monster. Please note Kate's hair is in a hairnet in this photo - a monster has to keep neat backstage, you know. |
